When Craigs Investment Partners (formerly ABN AMRO Craigs) wanted to re-design their interactive website, they decided to test the local market. They obtained details of Bay of Plenty companies that might be interested in tendering for the project through the ICT Cluster, facilitated by Priority One. Following a rigorous selection process, local company Cucumber Software beat out competition from much larger companies in Auckland, Wellington and Australia to win the contract. Economic benefits were also gained by two other local companies when Cucumber Software partnered on the design and technical aspects of the project.
Delivering on the contract required complex technical integration skills and was a valuable experience for Cucumber Software. The experience gained enabled them to build their business capability, enhance their track record and double their staff numbers. Craigs Investment Partners has since supported Cucumber Software in tendering for large out-of-region projects. Cucumber's success was due in large part to their significant in-house knowledge, talented resource base and proven ability to deliver on large corporate projects.
Cucumber Software Managing Director, Jodie Tipping, says “Priority One has played a key part in facilitating relationships with like minded IT partners and users of IT which have resulted in tangible commercial outcomes for Cucumber Software. Without Priority One's close involvement the level of cooperation and collaboration between ICT companies and users of IT would definitely not be at the level it is.”
