BayTrust makes grants (sometimes loans) to Community groups serving the Bay of Plenty. Granting decisions are quarterly and applications should be lodged at least six months before funding is required.

The Trust will consider assisting organisations and projects which help build, strengthen or enhance Bay of Plenty Communities with the following outcomes specifically targeted:
• Active communities;
• Healthy communities living in healthy environments;
• Educated communities;
• Culturally-enriched communities; and
• Communities developing their full potential.
Within these outcome areas, priority is given to grants which may assist those less able to care for themselves (eg. Children; the elderly; those with disabilities); organisations with significant volunteer (unpaid) assistance; and important projects where BayTrust funding may act as a lever in attracting additional funding.
