Farmer Motor Group was formed in 1991 by Peter Farmer (also a founding board member of Priority One) as Bay Nissan and quickly grew to represent 8 brands in the Bay of Plenty and is now one of the country’s most awarded dealer groups.
The company is now run by Mike Farmer, Peter's son and 50% shareholder. In 2008 the company finished construction on the Farmer Auto village, located on Hewletts Road Mount Maunganui. This was the first of its kind in New Zealand housing 8 brands including Nissan, Audi, VW, Skoda, Subaru, Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge in separate showrooms on the one site. With over 250 new and used cars in stock from $5000 to $300,000 - we will have something for everyone.
Farmer Auto Village was also named “Supreme Business of the Year” in the 2009 Westpac Business awards as well as winners of the “Customer Service Award”, ”Business Growth and Development“ and joint winner for “Community Service Award”.
The Farmer Auto Village is a true destination dealership and with the biggest selection for all budgets as well as a state of the art 21 bay workshop and a commercial café on the premises.
