SUMMARY:Sustainable Brands presents The Value of Purpose
DESCRIPTION:Remember when sustainability was all around us: an inevitable destination based on decisions being made by politicians and businesses across the world? It wasn’t that long ago. \nBut now it kind of feels like we’re wading through mud\, watching corporate commitments evaporate and red-faced politicians stomp their feet saying woe is woke and drill baby drill. Businesses are fighting to keep their people and planet programmes off the chopping block in an economic slump\, and meanwhile our growing Gen Z workforce wants progress and for climate promises to be kept. For those of us who care\, there’s simply no going back. \nWhat if there was a way brands could show the financial benefits of ESG programmes\, the dollars behind sustainability\, the value of purpose? \nThis May in Rotorua\, Sustainable Brands Aotearoa is bringing together world-class speakers from brands who have not backed down. The ones who are still doing purpose and are winning at it. These are the ones moving forwards at pace\, not reversing commitments. They won’t back down no matter what – because they know the value of their sustainability\, people and purpose programmes and they want you to know the value of your purpose too. Because if you win at this game\, then we all win. \nJoin Sustainable Brands for two days of truly practical insights and purpose-led Rotorua experiences that showcase how these businesses are getting it done. Keynote speakers include successful sustainability entrepreneur Brianne West who sold her beauty company Ethique in 2020 for almost $100 million\, and leading author on people & culture Dr Ellen Joan Ford (#WorkSchoolHours). Both days are jam-packed with presentations\, panels and masterclasses with experts from Comvita\, Ecostore\, Tax Traders\, IKEA\, Dole\, VF Corporation (Icebreaker)\, Blunt Umbrellas\, Beca\, Miraka and more covering off both the financial return on investment of values-led initiatives\, and the value of putting people at the heart of operations. This conference is for the change-makers\, the ones who want to re-write the system\, to one that’s better for all. \nWhether you’re a corporate leader or an SME\, you’ll head back to your organisation with the tools to win at purpose\, and probably some new friends for life. \nSustainable Brands is a global network of thousands of brands from Spain to Japan\, USA to South America and now Aotearoa New Zealand\, bringing an opportunity to access those markets never before available in this way. For kiwi export brands\, Sustainable Brands global CEO Mike Dupee will be onsite in Rotorua providing information on our delegation heading to San Diego in October 25 and how to maximise engagement opportunities. \nLimited places are available at The Value of Purpose and Sustainable Brands Aotearoa have offered a limited time discount of 30% for Priority One members available till 5pm May 30th unless sold out prior. \nRegister at https://www.sustainablebrands.co.nz/ | use code: SB2025PRO30
