We will provide a general update on the year’s activates\, highlights\, events\, key successes and announce the appointment of the Executive Board members as a result of the electronic vote. \nAlso joining us this year\, are two talented guest speakers; Tracey Cotter-Martin\, Associate Director of Future Insights at Datacom\, who will discuss what the future of work will look like for our region; and Bay of Plenty Youth Development Trust (BOPYDT) Chairman\, Craig Nees\, who will share the trusts vision and how they foresee Priority One members collaborating with the future of work. \nThis year’s AGM is being hosted at Youth Central (Te Puna Taiohi) which is the home of the BOPYDT\, and is the largest dedicated youth development and community facility of its kind in Aotearoa. The purpose of the Trust is to develop well-rounded\, vibrant\, independent\, and responsible youth who are work-fit\, ambitious\, goal oriented\, and active contributors in their communities. This will be a proactive response plan to the identified drivers and projected impacts of climate change in the area and is in response to the recently released national Emission Reduction Plan (ERP) and the National Adaptation Plan (NAP). \nTo ensure our region’s businesses have the opportunity to inform this plan\, Priority One is leading the delivery of an sector based workshop on Thursday 22nd September. \nThe workshop will provide a platform to better your understanding of carbon emissions and climate change\, get insights into Tauranga City’s climate change status\, and will provide you the opportunity to have your say on the developing Climate Plan. The workshops will cover: \n\nAn overview of the Tauranga Climate Plan\nUnderstand key programmes and projects that are being invested in by both business and broadly\, in both Mitigation and Adaptation spaces that will have impactful gains.\nDiscussions and breakout sessions with attendees to understand your industries/sectors common goals\, challenges\, and aspirations.\n\nA strong sustainability position is essential for our region to remain competitive.
