We have some of the best fruit and vegetables in the country\, so it goes without saying that there are also a number of very talented young fruit and vegetable growers in the region. In 2024\, the competition will be held on the morning of July 17th\, followed by an awards/gala dinner in the evening. \n“The Bay of Plenty Young Grower is a fun-filled and challenging full day event in which contestants undertake a range of horticultural related theoretical and practical activities. To round off the day there will be a dinner where contestants participate in a speech competition and awards will be presented to the winners. This meeting is focused on one of the three key opportunities identified for the construction industry which is concrete. We have confirmed speakers from the eco-system that exists within the concrete industry to showcase how the industry can adopt different approaches to concrete use and demolition.  \nCircular Construction is an industry-led group that creates a sustainable system that reduces waste\, fosters resource efficiency\, and minimizes the environmental impact of construction activities across the region. Supporting the formation of a closed loop circular network for the construction industry to exist in the Western Bay of Plenty\, that connects waste streams to end users and promotes the reuse and repurposing of construction materials.
