ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MINISTER VISITS TAURANGA

Over 230 business and civic leaders attended a Priority One event on 18 July with guest speaker, the Hon Steven Joyce.  Mr Joyce is the Minister for almost everything important to Priority One - economic development, science & innovation and tertiary education, skills & employment – so his visit was very well received by our members and other guests.  While he was here he held a roundtable event with selected business and civic leaders and visited local companies Te Awanui Huka Pak, Trimax Mowing Systems, Zespri International and Comvita.  He also took a tour of the Tauranga Eastern Link motorway out to Paengaroa, which is currently under construction.
