Newsletter-11-august

Kia ora,

We would like to acknowledge the passing of Ngāi Tamarawaho kaumatua, Peri Kohu, early last week. Peri will be long remembered and respected as one that advocated for the rights of tangata whenua for Tauranga Moana and we will remember our interactions with him fondly. Ka aroha hoki.

Tomorrow marks the start of our Canvas Careers Expo at Trustpower Arena, in partnership with Tauranga Rotary. This is a free event open to all ages, aimed at highlighting the diverse careers on offer in our region. We encourage secondary school students and their parents to attend the expo and to say hello to the Priority One team who will be there throughout the two-day event, at exhibition stand 48.

Keep an eye out for our Economic Update Report next Monday. We are following this with a Priority One Members’ Economic Update event on August 25th, which will provide an opportunity to talk through key insights of the report and discuss the outlook ahead.

We also remind you of our upcoming Talent Attraction and Immigration event. Immigration processes with the border opening have changed, and this is an excellent opportunity for business to hear first-hand about how to navigate the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV).

Ngā mihi nui
