Liz’s career spans more than two decades across New Zealand Trade & Enterprise, the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, and the private sector, with a strong focus on growing New Zealand businesses internationally and advancing regional and Māori economic development. She has lived and worked across China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, the United States and Australia, bringing a global perspective to her work in Aotearoa. Her governance experience includes diverse roles, from Te Kapu o Waitaha and Blueberries NZ to NZ Rugby and Toi Ohomai.

Liz’s career has been dedicated to creating intergenerational opportunities for whānau, hapū, iwi and companies. Today, as CEO of Miro, Liz leads a Māori grower collective established by iwi, hapū and whānau to unlock the potential of whenua Māori through horticulture. The work is commercially grounded and inherently complex – focused on lifting productivity, building capability, creating jobs and delivering long-term outcomes.
