As businesses become more aware of their impact on the environment, sustainable finance is gaining traction as a means of promoting sustainable economic activities and projects. Sustainable finance takes into account environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations when making investment decisions, leading to more long-term investments in sustainable projects. However, navigating the funding landscape can be challenging, and businesses may need support to identify and apply for meaningful grant opportunities.

To help businesses navigate this challenging and rapidly changing landscape, we are bringing together experts from BNZ, Purpose Capital, and EY to share their expertise on sustainable finance and funding opportunities, and provide insights into the sustainable finance landscape, offering guidance to businesses looking to embark on sustainability initiatives.

  • Alex West, Head of Sustainable Finance from BNZ, will provide an overview of sustainable finance, including eligibility criteria and tools used to support funding, and discuss the industries and activities BNZ is planning to fund in the future.
  • Nick Pacey, Investment Manager from Purpose Capital, will present on Purpose Capital’s financing options for businesses looking to decarbonise and promote environmental change, and is keen to hear from businesses who are looking to decarbonise their organisation but need external funding assistance to do so.
  • Nicole Van Der Laak, Senior Manager-Government Initiatives from Ernst & Young, will discuss the funding landscape in New Zealand, including how their Grant Services team can efficiently identify and apply for grant funding opportunities, the critical and valuable resources that grants provide for organisations to execute projects, and how grant funding can be leveraged to drive innovation and reduce risks and costs for organisations of all sizes, types or scale.

This event will provide businesses with the necessary knowledge to navigate the sustainable finance landscape, understand the funding options available, and take advantage of opportunities to support sustainable business practices. Join us and explore how to finance the transition towards sustainability.

Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Please RSVP by Monday 8th May
