Earlier this week we announced that a feasibility study has been completed on a multi-use community stadium, located at Wharepai Domain. Determining viability for a stadium is complex, and this is a very positive step forward in providing the city with a space that can be utilised for sports, concerts and cultural events. We continue our focus on supporting the re-invigoration of Tauranga’s CBD through the development of the Priority One Tauranga CBD Blueprint. The first of its kind for Tauranga, the CBD Blueprint represents a landmark moment for the city; showcasing the major developments that are committed for Tauranga City across the next eight years, and highlighting an exciting future for investors, developers, and our community. The Blueprint will be launched next week.

As the highly anticipated opening of Winstone Wallboards’ new Tauriko GIB factory draws closer, we will be holding our second GIB Open Day in support of finding candidates for the 100 new jobs the site will create.
