Melissa Mae works across marketing and communications at Priority One, supporting the team with comms, media and storytelling across a range of projects and initiatives for the region.
She brings more than 30 years of experience across film and television, digital media, marketing, internal and external communications, and the disability, medical and mental health sectors. With a background as a producer, director, writer and creative professional, Melissa brings a strong understanding of people, story and the importance of clear, human communication.
Melissa relocated to Tauranga Moana in 2016 with her daughter, after discovering the region while location scouting for a film project. Drawn to the lifestyle, community and creative potential of the Bay of Plenty, she has called it home ever since.
Outside of her role at Priority One, Melissa continues to work in film and television and is passionate about supporting the growth of the screen sector in the Bay of Plenty. She is also a writer and painter, and can often be found working on her latest creative project.
